Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and Manna Society will be working hard to support our neighbours in need across the Oceanside area.

We continue to provide hot meals, groceries, sandwiches, clothing, bicycles, gloves, coats, and essential supplies such as tents and sleeping bags. We also offer medical and foot care services to those who need them most.This area of work has grown exponentially as seniors and other people just aren’t getting in and not getting the care they need or can’t afford it so we’re doing it. We could use your help financially….

This month we were able to give two beautiful trailers to individuals as permanent homes—an incredibly meaningful and life-changing gift. Our goal is simple: to show love through practical, compassionate care for people who are struggling.

We are grateful to St. Edmund’s Church in Parksville for allowing us to use their spacious and safe parking lot, which has become a central hub for our growing team. We have also been welcomed into Orca Place to provide foot care and have begun working with St. Stephen’s in Qualicum, where we’re especially glad to support the many seniors they serve. With ongoing pressures on the healthcare system, these community partnerships create valuable opportunities to reach more people.

We will share details about what we’ll be offering at each location as the date approaches.

We’d also like to thank the leaders in Qualicum for their thoughtful approach to supporting seniors and for recognizing the needs within their community.
